Rotary (SR) or Sorption (SRS) heat exchanger?
Both models ensure excellent heat recovery, but their main difference lies in moisture management. The standard rotary (SR) heat exchanger naturally returns some moisture. If your home's air becomes particularly dry in winter, the Sorption (SRS) variant with an alumosilicate coating will absorb moisture from the exhaust air and efficiently return it to the rooms, guaranteeing ideal comfort without additional humidifiers.

What you will need additionally
For a successful installation, you may need:

Dimensions and location selection
The unit is mounted vertically. It is essential to leave enough space in front of the unit to freely open the doors for filter replacement and heat exchanger inspection.
Duct connection
160 mm diameter ducts are used. To prevent vibration transmission to the building structures, it is recommended to use flexible connectors between the air handling unit and rigid ducts.
Condensate drainage
Important: Since both RECOM 3 variants (SR and SRS) are rotary, condensate does not accumulate inside the unit. There is no need to install condensate drain pipes or siphons.
Electrical connection
The air handling unit connects to a standard single-phase 230V network. Power cable connection must only be performed by a qualified specialist.
Control systems
The chosen control panel (wired) is connected according to the manufacturer's electrical diagram. If the FP WF module is used, smartphone control can be configured.
First start
Before turning on, ensure that:
- Filters are in place
- All duct connections are sealed
- After starting the unit, set the desired flows via the panel and check system operation
Maintenance and filters
It is recommended to check filters every 3-4 months and replace them as needed (at least twice a year). The rotary heat exchanger should be inspected annually and gently cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.
