- Number of slots (1, 2, 3 or more) - the more slots (lines) a diffuser has, the greater the airflow it passes over the same length. One or two-slot models are most commonly chosen for home living rooms due to their subtlety, while more massive, multi-slot variants are used in commercial spaces.
- Diffuser length (mm) - slot diffusers can be connected into continuous lines stretching for tens of meters. When planning an installation above a window, it is recommended that the diffuser covers at least 80-90% of the entire window width so the air curtain operates without gaps.
- Airflow direction control (deflectors) - high-quality linear models have adjustable internal deflectors. They allow you to change the airflow direction after installation: blowing air straight down along the window or dispersing it horizontally along the ceiling.
- Color and visibility - you can choose traditional models with a visible aluminum frame (white, black) or concealed mounting (frameless) models. The latter are plastered into the plasterboard, leaving only a clean dark air slot visible.

Slot diffusers are always equipped with special long plenum boxes that equalize the air over the entire length. Before planning such solutions, it is essential to coordinate them with the overall ductwork system, as linear diffuser boxes require a specific ceiling drop height.
Installation specifics and long-term maintenance
Precise installation process
Installing linear diffusers requires much greater precision than standard round ventilation points. Because the architectural line must be perfectly straight, close collaboration between plasterboard tradesmen and ventilation specialists is necessary.
- Fixing the plenum boxes - first, long metal plenum boxes are anchored to the concrete ceiling and securely connected to the ducts. The boxes must be aligned using a laser.
- Forming the ceiling frame - a plasterboard profile frame is built around the attached boxes. The plasterboards are cut extremely accurately, leaving the ideal gap for inserting the diffuser profile itself.
- Fixing and balancing the diffuser - after all painting work is finished, the diffuser itself is inserted into the left opening. In the final stage, the ventilation technician adjusts the internal deflectors to the desired airflow direction and measures the air volume.
Maintenance without extra hassle

When cleaning the house, it is enough to run a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment along the entire length of the diffuser to collect settled dust.
